Rustic Mason Jar Organizer

Every once in a while you make a project that is just so simple, that you wonder why you haven’t made a bunch of them before. This is one of those projects. All you need is a few mason jars of whatever size you’d like, some hose clamps to fit them, some screws, and a piece of wood to mount the jars on.

Begin by cutting your piece of wood down to whatever size you want. Then lay your jars on the board and determine where you want the jars to be located. Place a mark where you can next drill a pilot hole to mount the hose clamp. Grab some sandpaper and make sure your board is sanded down before applying your finish of choice. You can finish your piece with whatever method you choose. Make it fit your space. While the finish is drying, Gently clamp one of the hose clamps to a jar and place a mark where you want to drill a mounting hole. Carefully drill a hole on the clamp that is large enough for the screw to pass through.

With the finish dry, you can now screw your hose clamps to the board in the hole you drilled earlier. Then connect the ends of the hose clamp, insert your jar, and snug the clamp down. To mount your organizer to the wall you can use some picture frame hangers like I did, or you may choose to drill some holes and use screws. The way you choose to mount it could depend on your intended use. Just make sure it cannot fall off and break.

Now you can hang your organizer up and fill it with whatever you’d like. I hope you enjoyed building it. Its a super simple, yet very functional project.
