Fall Pumpkins made from Horseshoes | A Simple Welding Project

Well, we’re in the Fall season here in the US. My Daughter is getting really excited to decorate for Fall. We decided to make these neat little pumpkins out of some horseshoes.

This project isn’t difficult to make if you have some basic welding skills. All you need is a total of 9 horseshoes. 8 of them will get welded into the body of the pumpkin, and 1 will get sliced up to form the stem. Its up to you if you want to use new horseshoes, or some reclaimed ones. Just make sure if they are rusty, you clean off the rust before you weld. Once its all welded together, you can paint it with the paint of your choice. We chose to use Pumpkin Orange, and some Grass Green paint for ours. You could use whatever you’d like. I didn’t even know there was a pumpkin orange paint, but it looks awesome.

These came out great. One advantage to this type of project, is that it is super durable, and will last a whole lot longer than any store bought decoration. We’re really happy with our new Horseshoe Pumpkins.
